Sevan Networks Announces Support of LDAP Directories
The Sevan WSA™
can be integrated with enterprise user provisioning and management
systems though LDAP directories
SUNNYVALE, CA – Sevan Networks, Inc, an innovative provider
of web access management solutions for businesses, today announced
compatibility with LDAP user directories. This LDAP feature allows
administrators to manage user access permissions through a single
or multiple LDAP directories, while retaining the Sevan WSA’s
powerful authentication capabilities. Sevan's unique approach to
user management means that administrators can mix user management
between external LDAP directories and the WSA's internal user stores.
"LDAP support brings the WSA in line with the needs of even
the largest enterprise customers," said R. Bud Koch, VP of
Marketing for Sevan Networks. "Those without the need for directory
infrastructures can use the WSA as a stand-alone device. Those customers
managing their users with LDAP-compliant tools can now quickly integrate
the WSA into those infrastructures."
The LDAP features preserves Sevan's promise of ease-of-use and simple
installation. The WSA requires no modifications to the directory,
nor does the WSA write to the directory. The WSA supports all popular
directories, including Active Directory.
The WSA's LDAP integration can be demonstrated immediately. The
feature will ship as a standard feature in the fourth quarter. Users
already owning the WSA-100 will receive the LDAP update at no charge
through Sevan's Value Preservation program.
